Merry Christmas from the HCA Eighth Grade!  This morning, they made Christmas votive candle holders, went caroling over Zoom with Lower School, played candyball, and attended our virtual prayer service.  Below, they offer their Christmas wishes for the world: "I hope everyone stays safe this Christmas!" - Stevie "I hope that everyone gets their needs met this Christmas." - Will "I hope everyone has a good Christmas." - Aidan "I wish everyone a nice home and shelter for the holidays." - Kadin

Congratulation to Molly and Kadin  who both received their Confirmation. Back In Person  Religion The students are finishing up a unit on All Religions  in connection with our Diversity and Inclusion work with projects of holidays from religions other than their own.  Literature In reading class the students finished The Odyssey  and are busy now with analysis.  The first day back to in-person school, the students reported that it felt strange, and they would need some time to recover from virtual school. When asked what they think would help them recover, they said just talking with each other, telling stories. So at their request, homeroom in the morning is spent telling stories. They are silly stories, and they are right. Just sitting and talking, laughing, joking, and being silly together has seemed to help them retrieve a previous animation. What clever children.
