Also this week, the middle school students participated in an assembly in honor of All Abilities Month. Mrs. Ceferatti's son Simon, who was born blind, showed our students many of the tools he uses to help him navigate the world. Simon showed the students his Braille machine as well as several Braille books - even an atlas! He also shared some apps, including one called Be My Eyes, which allows blind or visually impaired individuals to connect with sighted volunteers who can describe their surroundings using a cell phone camera. We are so grateful to Simon for sharing his perspective with us!
